D-BUS service browser for KDE
Kdbus is the equivalent to kdcop, but for D-BUS. It is still immature (and potentially buggy). Things which need attention:
- The GUI is kinda ugly :-) - kdbus uses its own copy of D-BUS Qt bindings (the ones in KDE svn). The fixes I’ve made to these should be ported to the copy in KDE svn. - Only a subset of the D-BUS spec is used; e.g., properties can’t be read or set, and annotations aren’t displayed. That being said, kdbus supports enough to be able to use every method exported by dbus-daemon. - There is no documentation.
Another important thing to note is that only D-BUS objects which implement org.freedesktop.DBus.Introspectable.Introspect can be enumerated by kdbus. Out of the small set of D-BUS aware programs, the subset which implement that interface is very small, so at the moment, you won’t be able to do anything to most D-BUS apps with kdbus.
