RTAI is a realtime extension with a broad variety of services which make realtime programmers' lifes easier. Some of them are

The Xenomai abstraction layer provides a realtime capable virtual machine, that allows the emulation of several traditional RTOSes (currently pSOS+, VRTX, VxWorks and uITRON) and calling Linux syscalls synchronously from a RTAI realtime tasks.

This package contains the sources for building the kernel modules, some utility binaries, the userspace libraries (LXRT) and the testsuite. To compile this you need a kernel with the ADEOS patch applied.
